![]() ![]() The only reason nascar has big tracks is because it seats more people which = more money. The major issue for pcars is the size of the tracks. ![]() Pcars dI'd a pretty poor job implementation it into their game. I've been oval racing since I could walk. I know I probably sound ignorant for being unable to appreciate this kind of racing, so if you're someone who races ovals regularly, please tell me what I'm missing. In stock cars, it takes 2 laps to get your speed back up if anyone punts you at 200mph, and now you're 40 seconds down. We make fun of GT3 Monza here, but you can still have a fun race after someone murders you in T1. Unfortunately, in practice, I have yet to play a race where multiple players were able to experience that together. If I'm playing advocate for ovals, I'd probably say that stock cars have a lot of 'feel' and have a lot of movement in how you can 'stick' them in the corners. This means that any DAMAGE ON race is just a last man standing event. Online, it's really difficult to hold a line and see your surroundings enough to avoid contact (although I do a pretty good job of it). With AI, every car goes the exact same speed, so it's just a matter of maybe passing them on the front straight at Daytona when you get their slip stream, otherwise nothing interesting happens. I might shift a couple times from 6-5-6 in Indy by staring at when my rev lights go off, but stock car it's just 4th gear all day. I might as well set cruise control or throw a brick on my right pedal. I never touch the brakes and just mash the throttle from green flag to checkered.
